1. Introduction of Project

One day sports tournament for A & S Pvt. Ltd. Company is being arranged. The most important task as a project manager in charge of the arrangement is to make necessary planning and organisation for the one-day sports tournament to be a successful arrangement. The company does not have any facilities for the arrangement of the indoor game thus it is being decided to organise outdoor games to be played. Following the health conditions of the employees, cricket has been chosen. The tournament will be organised in a nearby field. Four teams will play with 11 players in each team. A lottery system will be used for grouping teams as group A and B. The tournament will start at 7 am and starts with the speech of managing director and CEO of the company. There will be facilities for snacks and beverages. The winning team will receive prizes from the CEO of the company. The types of equipment for the game to be played will be provided on company expenses. The experts will be invited from outside the company to be umpires so the one-day sports tournament will be fair in every aspect and the winning team will be given special prizes as a token of hard work and efforts.

2. Project Scope statement

Project scope description:

It is a one-day sports tournament for A & S Pvt. Ltd. Company. The cricket match will be played between four teams with 11 players each and divided into two groups i.e. A and B. The umpires will be provided by the company with a customized jersey for a sports tournament. The winning team will be given a trophy (Baughman, et. al., 2016). The objective of the sports tournament is to promote health organisation in the employees of the company.

Project deliverables:

There are various project deliverables such as trophy providing for the winning team, providing specially customized jersey for each team, playing for improving and encouraging employees towards health conditions, facility operations to progress the sports tournament on smooth affairs. Snacks and beverages will be provided.

Project acceptance criteria:

The operations in the sports tournament should be planned for the success of the organisation. The teams participating should agree with the criteria of whether its risk manager or the general manager. The project will solve the problems; the risk factors will be fixed or tolerated for the moment to complete the project on successful terms (Ferrand, 2015).

Project exclusions:

There are various project exclusions present for the one-day sports tournament for the A & S Pvt. Ltd. company such as no contact (physical hitting will be expelled from the sports tournament), no fighting between teams on the field, vandalism, no penalty time being provided, and no money prizes. These exclusions are required to be followed by the teams participating in the sports tournament as these are necessary for the project to be completed and the desired outcomes will be attained.

Project constraints:

The constraints are required to be included in the fixed budget of the project or imposed on the hard deliverables dates or for the specific technology being used in the project completion (Fotiadis, 2020). The constraints of the project will include the jerseys for each team with distinguishing attributes to differentiate between teams, a trophy for the winning team, mementoes for the runner ups and other participants, umpires, and field rent are some of the project constraints which are being necessary for the project of a one-day sports tournament to be successfully implemented.

Project assumption:

The project is being organised as a non-contact cricket for the sports tournament which is based on the health conditions of the employees of the company (Tichaawa, et. al., 2016). This is being done for the encouragement of the employees regarding the health conditions by playing cricket to make the project a success for the employees of the A & S Pvt. Ltd. The one-day sports tournament will contain risks which will be handled by the risk management team for successful implementation.

3. Establish Project Priorities

It is important for a company is to focus on major priorities which should maintain and manage their project plan in a better manner. Project priorities help the project manager is to arrange all the tasks as per the priority level.  The project is based on a one-day sports tournament which is organized by an organization. The main goal of the project manager is to manage the tradeoffs among cost, time and performance. The manager of the project must define and evaluate the nature of the priorities (Gammelsæter, 2020). It is important for the project manager is to focus on the performance of the sports tournament and requires maintaining all the resources properly. Along with this, they need to perform always prior work so that they can easily reach with desired goals (Rabadi, et. al., 2015). The company develops a matrix which justifies the priorities of the sports tournament project in which they are mainly concentrating on performance, accept and enhance. 4. Create the Work Breakdown Structure

A work breakdown structure is the breakdown of the project, in the project management and systems engineering, into the smaller components or modules. The work breakdown structure is the key for project deliverables in the project management which helps in the organisation of work distribution in the team into the manageable sections for the completion of the project (Giulianotti, et. al., 2016). The work packages are included in the work breakdown structure which is resource requirements for the project in terms of the schedule, budget and duration of the project required to be implementing of the project by dividing the work in the project team.

WBS helps in developing all the work structure and accountability structure of a project. There are various forms of issues and opinions at the first meeting by the members. In this, they are discussing the hiring of qualified referees in the playground and they should be responsible for judging all the games fairly. There was confusion about the rewards of the players and they have decided to contact with local sponsors and collect the funds that are required for conducting this tournament (Korbukova, et. al., 2016). This WBS assist in understand and evaluating regarding the cost estimation, distribution, resource allocation on the project. Such information and data may also use in the future tournament as well. Work breakdown structure develops the deliverables in a more concrete and precise manner so that the project team members understand what has to be done for properly achieving each deliverables. It allows for better prediction of risk, cost, resources, time and outcomes. The project manager focus on analyzing the tasks that are performed for conducting effective sports tournament and how this will beneficial for getting profitability by a company. An organization mainly concentrate on collecting and allocating required resources which are useful for managing all the tasks that are necessary for completing the project plan (Nite, et. al., 2019). WBS is that tool which is used to identify and assess the technical risk and another issue that may create a negative impact on the project management of sports. For this, they are firstly developing schedule and structure which are involved in the process of conducting a tournament of sports. It is the important manager of the project is to maintain all the necessary functions and activities which are required to reach with final desired targets of the plan. 5. Cost Estimation

It is essential for the project manager of a sports tournament is to focus on estimating the total cost that requires spending while conducted this program. The main motive of the cost estimation is to predict the cost, quantity and price of the resources that are necessary to complete a function in the project scope. It is that process which assists in recognizing the project issues and risks and also provides an alternative to discuss the options if there is new requirements are needed to add in this project plan (Parshakov, et. al., 2020). The correct project costing plan allows the manager to anticipate the cost to assess the required functions and options that are conducting in the tournament. In this budget, all the necessary resources and facilities are included that are useful for completing the sports tournament and all the resources are related to sports.
