The concept of personal and professional development is the process in which the organisation and individual engagement of the employees towards the process of learning in the meeting of challenges and desired goals for the organisation’s growth and development. The professional development refers to the development and improvement of the skills through instructors as this will help in meeting the needs of the organisational workers (Barrow, et. al., 2015). Short term goals are the goals which are needed to be completed shortly which can be meant by today, this week, this month or this year. The short term goals are needed to be accomplished soon in the low time (Beausaert, et. al., 2015). I have various short term goals for the university career in which I am planning to learn new skills, participate in various events of the university and develop learning skills which are important for the growth and development. These short term goals are very important for me to develop my skills on a personal and professional level which are very useful and impactful for the development.

Medium-term goals are the goals which can take a bit longer to be accomplished when compared to the short term goals that are it takes around months to achieve the goals. I have various medium-term goals in which I decided to lose 5kg of weight in 6 months, a complete 5-month crash course of technical skills and learn a new language in a year (Bintani, 2020). These are medium-term goals which will take a bit more of time than the short term goals and help in achieving various goals to accomplish targets on the given timeline for personal and professional development.

Long term goals are the goals which are needed to be fulfilled in the future. Long term goals are the goals which require time and planning for the accomplishment of the goals (Lejeune, et. al., 2018). These goals are required years for completing the goals. I have various long term goals in which getting a reputed job profile, opening own business and urging for success in my field are some of the long term goals which will help in the personal and professional growth and development as the career path are highly advantaged by the long term goals which are important for by growth and development.

Personal development planning is the process of plan creation based on the goal setting, awareness, reflection, and values and planning for the personal development in the context of education, relationship, career or self-improvement. The personal development plan will help in development and growth on a personal and professional level for the development of the person on various levels. I will make a plan for the personal development to achieve the goal of achieving career path for the growth and development in which I will identify for the situation and work on the skills which are required for the development of the goals and target (Grit, 2019).
